Der Ort Kandersteg liegt am Ende des Kandertals auf 1'200 m ü.M. In der Gemeinde leben rund 1200 Einwohner. Der Multi führt zu zwei eher weniger bekannten Sehenswürdigkeiten, verbunden mit einem hübschen Spazierweg ohne grosse Höhendifferenzen.
Parkmöglichkeiten gibt es im Winter (Langlaufloipe) nahe des Ausgangspunkts bei
N 46° 29.380 / E 007° 40.315. Im Sommer kann man beim nahen Restaurant (nur für Gäste) oder im Dorf parkieren.

The village of Kandersteg is situated at the end of the Kander valley on 1,200m above sea level. The community is home to around 1,200 inhabitants. The multi-cache leads to two little-known attractions, combined with a nice walk without great differences in height.
Parking is available during winter (cross country ski trail) near the starting point at
N 46° 29.380 / E 007° 40.315. In summer time you can park close to the restaurant (for guests only) or in the village.

The starting point is a pretty little lake in a nature reserve. One of the most famous inhabitants of Kandersteg and former Federal Council planted a fir tree here on the occasion of his New Year speech in 2000. Convert the letters of his first and last name into numbers (a = 1, b = 2, ...).
