Thank Goodness for Stitches! Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Robin_1: As feared, it appears WP1 is finally gone, so it's time to bid this one adieu.

It was super fun while it lasted!

Maybe I can renew this one, at least in some form, in the future, but not right now.

Thanks to all who searched, found, and awarded favorite points to my most favorited cache!!

Happy trails!

Geocache Description:

Congratulations to Indywallin for FTF on August 10, 2011!!

This multi-cache was placed in honor of a statement one my geodaughters made as she was just starting to get "loopy" before going into surgery.

She made the statement before the surgery, just as the medication started to take its affect on her. Her statement, and I hope I'm quoting it correctly, was "I sure hope I don't have to get staples."

Not that it was a laughing matter at the time, but now that surgery is behind us AND she's recuperating well, we've found a way to laugh about the statement.

That's why this multi-cache is called "Thank Goodness for Stitches!"

Now if only the recovery could be faster so that she can be back to 100% more quickly.

This surgery was pretty extensive, and the stitches have definitely put a damper on our usual weekend caching activities, since hiking with crutches is simply "out of the question."

Eventually we'll all be back out on the trail and will be thankful that this whole ordeal is behind us!

In the meantime, I've put out this multi-cache in honor of her (now) funny statement.

The cache is a two-stepper, so you'll find the second and final set of coordinates at the posted coordinates. Be sure to take your "thinking cap" to the first waypoint as you'll need to do some thinking to figure it out where to go from there.

There is absolutely NO BUSHWHACKING required. In fact you can park, probably within 30 feet of both locations (though I'm a terrible judge of distances). Both locations are flat.

NOTE: You have a 50/50 chance of approaching the first waypoint from the, shall I say, "most efficient" side. You will not have to worry about accessing it from only one side. It's just the getting to the final waypoint that may be either near or far depending on from which side of the first waypoint you start.

The cache container is very small, but not a nano, so bring your own writing implement to sign the log sheet. There is no room for any trade items so please only "visit" with your SWAG and trackables, etc...

Please be sure to press the container back into place so that it is secure.

This cache is available 24/7 but please be aware that security patrols are patrolling these parking lots and behind these businesses at all hours and could potentially question any suspicious activity that they encounter.

The usual sometimes high muggle factor for a Robin_1 cache will apply, so use your stealth skills, especially at the final waypoint.

Happy hunting!!
