Along Watson Lake
NOTE: campfires are only allowed in the gravel pit
We own a cottage that is on the property bordering this lake, if you happen to see a surveyor stake while walking in, it is probably marking the edge of our property. Throughout the years the family has owned this property we have enjoyed this lake. We love taking the atv's down to the lake an going for a swim, fishing or a boat ride. If you are an avid outdoors man/woman don't be afraid to spend a few days and explore the area sometime. This area is one of my favourite places to spend the summer. And probably one of the most beautiful areas in ontario.
The cache is located along a boat lauch for canoes and kayaks into Watson lake. To find the boat lauch head down Madawaska road and turn on Little Papineau lake road then turn right through a driveway across from the Algonquin Equipement Rentals sign. There is parking in the gravel pit through the driveway and the trail to the cache is at the far end of the gravel pit. It has a lovely view and is a great spot to launch for a paddle or head out for a little fishing.
