Geocache Description:

We have placed a series of caches around some of the Jasper County Cemeteries. You do not need to go into the cemetery.
Please respect your surroundings.

The earliest known burial was in 1854. The cemetery has also been know as Monroe East Cemetery and Shaw Cemetery. Consists of about 2.3 acres. The Fairview Township trustees have responsibility for the cemetery. It is open to new burials and has approximately 300 burials.
