Unseren ersten Cache, haben wir im Hofheimer Stadtwald versteckt. Noch gibt es dort viel zu wenig Caches; dies gilt es zu verändern! Auf unseren vielen Familienspaziergängen haben wir einen geeigneten Platz etwas abseits der Wege gesucht – festes Schuhwerk wird daher dringend empfohlen. Für Kinderwagen ist der letzte Wegabschnitt ungeeignet.

Informationen zum Hofheimer Stadtwald:
Die Gesamtfläche des Waldes in Hofheim beträgt 2.372 ha, davon sind 1.456,8 ha Stadtwald. Die Bedeutung des Stadtwaldes als Naherholungsgebiet und „Freizeitpark“ für die Bevölkerung im Ballungsraum Rhein-Main ist immens.
Das Wegenetz ist sehr gut ausgebaut; Grillplätze und Waldwanderparkplätze sind vorhanden.
Der städtische Tierpark neben der Revierförsterei im Hundshager Weg 62 wird vor allem von Familien mit Kindern als beliebtes Ausflugsziel genutzt.
Der Hofheimer Stadtwald wird nach den Prinzipien der Nachhaltigkeit und der Wirtschaftlichkeit (ökonomisches Prinzip) bewirtschaftet. Für diese nachhaltige und ökologische Bewirtschaftung des Stadtwaldes wurde der Stadt Hofheim das PAN-Europäische Forstzertifikat (PEFC) sowie das Zertifikat nach dem Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) erteilt.

Our first cache was hidden in the “Hofheim Wood”.
Within the forrest, there aren’t enough caches, this has to be changed! On our multiple hikes through the wood, we were looking for an adapted place away from the paths – so you definitely need strong boots! The last section is inapplicable for buggies!
Have fun on your way to the cache!
Information to the “Hofheim Wood”
The overall-size of the “Hofheim Wood” is about 2.372 ha, thereof are 1.456,8 ha of the “City-Wood”. The wood is a recreation area for all people of the Rhein-Main Area.
You can find a lot of paths, separated grill areas as well as a lot of parking places for hikers.
Families love the zoo close to the “Revierförsterei im Hundshager Weg 62” (no entrance fee).
If you like to hike in the woods, Hofheim’s expansive forestland offers clearly marked trails of differing degrees of difficulty.
