Big Boulder Bivi Traditional Cache

This cache is located on Slieve Bernagh, Mourne Mountains.
When I first passed this way as a young hill walker in the 1960's my older, and more experienced companions would speak in hushed tones as we ambled by. "There's the bivi boulder" they would say with great respect, yet with a twinkle in their eyes - obviously it was a place of many magical and mysterious memories. Ah, if only a boulder could talk! Although I have looked into it's darkness on several occasions I must admit I have never been tempted to spend an overnight bivi under it's sheltering bulk - perhaps you will be braver (or hardier) than me. Mind you, if you crawled out of it bleary eyed into the early morning light you would have a great view. The boulder itself should be located with ease - the cache perhaps not so. Remember that the cache is located in a mountainous area - so come properly prepared. Please bring a pencil.
