This is your chance to get a cache and then learn about a truly interesting early California woman.
Dr. Bale came to California and made a politically motivated marriage to the daughter of one of the Spanish dons.
He appears to have been something of a ne'er-do-well who abandoned his wife and family after starting the nearby grist mill operation. She was a real character who took over the mill, ranch and family and made a roaring success of all.
Years later he came back sick and broke and wanted to take it all over again. Fortunately she was smart enough to stop that but did permit him to live out his days in a small cabin on the property.

You can park your car within five feet or so of the cache site and should have no problem figuring out where it is. There is room for small trackables and swag so have a good time.
