Geocache Description:

This cache is on the Colorado River a few miles up from Lee's Ferry. It is accessible only by boat or helicopter. There is not a dock or beach at this cache location. We placed it while Kayaking down this stretch of the river.

The Colorado River between Lake Powell and Lee's Ferry is a popular site seeing and fishing area. The beautiful canyon walls reach up over 1000' above the river bottom. Come enjoy the area and find the three caches on this stretch of the river. This area of the Colorado River can only be accessed by launching your boat from Lee's Ferry recreation area near Marble Canyon. Don't have a motor boat? A ferry service is available to take you and your kayak up river for a fee. There are various designated camping and day use areas on the river. Fishing is awesome on the river, in fact I caught a fish just in front of the cache location before placing it.

Maintenance Plan: This is an area that I frequent for recreational purposes because it is so awesome. Only a few hours away from Phoenix, it makes for a great weekend getaway. Should a maintenance need arise, I look forward for a reason to be on that stretch of the river.
