Geocache Description:

A steady walk of about a mile; It lets you to take in some of the breathtaking views. Suggested parking is in the National Trust car park. There is a small parking fee for anyone not showing their NT members badge.

The Rangers who look after the estate have worked out that there are over 200 miles of Hedgrows on the Estate. These hedges need to be managed and conserved. Every year, with the help of volunteers the team lay 1.5 miles of hedgerow each year. The hedges begin to grow back within a year and become a dense hedge within 3 years; perfect for small birds and the illusive dormouse!

The Stonebarrow shop and information centre is housed within an Old radar station, used during the Second Worls War and the cold War to scan the coastline for enemy aircraft.

You are looking for a small clip top box which contains log book, pencil and small tradable goodies.

This Geocache can be combined with the caches below to make a route along the top of the hill which should take you about two hours.Note: The difficulty for each of the caches is on an individual basis. The terrain takes into account the whole estate and all caches involved. Bring a picnic if you want to make a day of it!
