Cache is a small camo'd lock and lock. Reach for the cache gently as the location can be a bit prickly. Muggles can be a problem in this area so use stealth. FFTF (first "first to find") gets a $10 Tim Hortons card.
We got this idea from the "Everyone's a winner" cache in Victoria.
EVERYONE gets a FTF with this cache but you have to be creative! Just use the acronym "FTF" and add your own unique character to it when you log your find.
For example:
FTFW3LD = first to find with 3-legged dog
FTFWPH = first to find with purple hair
FTFO7FT = first to find over 7 feet tall
There is no limit to the first to finds with this cache!
Be creative and post lots of photos!
Originally known as Alexandra Park, McDonald Park belongs in one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Kamloops. The park land was once an exhibition ground that included a ½ mile race track nestled in an area well known for its fertile soil and fruit crops. In the 1940's a neighbourhood association took control of the area and converted the former exhibition grounds into a park. The name was changed in 1946 to McDonald Park, after Angus McDonald – secretary of BC Fruitlands. In 2005 another neighbourhood group, the Friends of McDonald Park, raised money to revitalize the park with the help of the City of Kamloops and a group of urban planning graduate students from UBC. It is now a quiet jewel in this historic community and well worth a visit.
