Cotton Malone

BORN: Harold Earl Malone, Thomasville, Georgia. Acquired the nickname “Cotton”, origin undisclosed.

EDUCATION: Malone graduated second in his class from Thomasville High School. He was accepted to the Naval Academy where he graduated in the top third of his class. He has an unusual ability for foreign languages (thanks to an eidetic memory), now fluent in at least a dozen, including Arabic.

PROFESSIONAL CAREER: Spent 6 years with Judge Advocate General's Corps. Transferred to the Justice Department where he worked for 12 years under Director, Stephanie Nell, as a lawyer/agent. Retired from the Navy.

POST-CAREER ACTIVITIES: Moved to Copenhagen, Denmark and purchased an old bookshop that specializes in rare books. Even though he is retired from the Navy, he is sometimes involved in investigations at the request of Director Nell. He is also a reviewer for Groundspeak.

There are no pictures available of Cotton Malone and many claim to be him. The real Cotton Malone occasionally sports a button that identifies him. Although he has contributed beyond the call of duty to the safety of untold millions, he refused 10 commendations that were awarded to him during his career with the Navy. He does, however, accept recognition and thanks for the caches he publishes. Feel free to acknowledge him should you ever spot that button.

Thanks to author Steve Berry for permission to use info from Cotton's 'dossier'.
Thanks to the staff at the cache location for their help and their enthusiasm.
