Geocache Description:

The first in the ACT 4000 Club. Yep, 6 local cachers have hit the highs of 4000 (and more) finds. Those local cachers that have reached these dizzy heights, in no particular order, are:

mtbikeroz
Albida33
Winglen
McPhan
Tankengine, and
Sol de Lune

As usual, the cache you are seeking is not at the posted co-ords. To find it, simply work out which cache was the 4000th find for each of the listed cachers, answer a question about the cache/find and then head off to find it.

The actual cache can be found at South 35 21 ABC and East 149 08 DEF

Simple really…….so here you go:

_______________________________________________

mtbikeroz

The man on the bike found his 4000th (GC/GCA combined) sometime in Jun 2010. The cache has now been archived; however it can still be found without too much drama. Just to help a little more, the cache name has a biblical theme.

A = the last number in the GC number

_______________________________________________

Albida33

Albida made his 4000th find sometime during Aug 2010 in Mussellbrook NSW. (Albida mentions that he visited one of his Geocoins, which confirms the cache as his 4000th find.)

F = the sum of the numbers of the day Albida made his find. (eg 14th = 1 + 4 = 5)

_______________________________________________

Winglen

Winglen made her 4000th find, here in the ACT, during Nov 2010. An easy loop walk with a bit of Aussie fauna thrown in.
(4000th find is confirmed in the log)

B = the date (day only) the cache was placed.

_______________________________________________

Tankengine

Tankengine found his 4000th in South Australia sometime in July 2011. Interestingly the cache name has the same format that Tankengine likes to employ himself. Very fitting.
(4000th find is confirmed in the log)

E = the first number in the GC number

_______________________________________________

McPhan

McPhan scored his 4000th find, here in the ACT, during Feb 2011. The log makes for interesting reading. Two trips for the one cache.....Oops.
(4000th find is confirmed in the log.)

C = the number of characters in McPhans log……Minus 3997

_______________________________________________

Sol de Lune

Number 4000 for SdL was found during May 2011, somewhere in the UK.
(4000th find is confirmed in the log)

D = the park where number 4000 was found, is D0 (D zero) hectares in size

Checksums South 19 - East 37

So that’s it. Find the required info and then find the cache.

Good Luck.
