Fort Wilkins Historic State Park with the cooperation of the Fort Wilkins Natural History Association will be holding its fifth annual Geocaching Event during the fall color season on the beautiful Keweenaw Peninsula. Several temporary caches of varying difficulty are placed at historically, geologically, or naturally significant sites. This year the event will be non-competitive. The event begins at 9:00 AM in the West Barracks at the Fort. A history hunt for kids and non-geocachers will be held at 3:00 PM. There will be a campfire social to follow at 4:00 PM where prizes will be raffled. Hot dogs, hot cider, and more will be enjoyed along with your own geocaching stories. A Michigan State Park Recreation Passport is required for entry into the park. There are no other fees.
