Geocache Description:

Lion Gates Welbeck
The Lion Gates lead to Welbeck Abbey, the one time home of the Fifth Duke of Portland. It was this fifth Duke that built a series of tunnels through the estate. During the Second World War when all the houses of Worksop were having their modest railings cut away from the fronts of their homes, to help with the war effort, the Lion Gates were unusually overlooked in this respect.

Cache is a small snap lid tub, and contains only a log sheet. Normally my caches are larger than this, but the previous cache container was muggled twice.

Although the name of the cache is Lion Gate, the cache is across the road in the wooded area. Park in the car park.
