North Star Trail - Springtime on the Trail

This cache has been set to mark the Beginning of the Cranbrook
Extension to the North Star Trail. It was necessary to place the
cache well away from the actual Trail Head so as to conform to the
minimum distance requirements between a cache and the active
railroad.
As we move through the four seasons it is necessary to employ
different methods of non-motorized travel between summer and winter
on the Trail. I particularly enjoy Spring, when the snow and ice
are leaving and new shoots are appearing on trees and plants. Birds
begin appearing from the south and there are generally signs of
freshness and renewal in the air.
The finding of this cache is MUCH more likely for cachers who
search in the Spring (in fact, I can almost guarantee a 100%
success rate). Those who hunt in the winter are far less likely to
be triumphant – you have been warned!
