B.O.C: I-10 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

-Rusty-: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

"B.O.C." stands for "Battleship: Ontonagon County"

This series is based on the board game "Battleship."

How this works:

Make a grid 10 squares by 10 squares, A through J on the top and 1 through 10 on the left side. Then go find the caches. Some caches will have nothing in them--those are "misses." Some caches will have little pink clues in them. Those are "hits." If you score a "hit", write down your clue for that ship you hit. If there is no "hit" in the cache, then simply log your find.

You are looking for five ships:

Air Craft Carrier: 5 hits
Battleship: 4 hits
Sub Marine: 3 hits
Destroyer: 3 hits
Patrol Boat: 2 hits

In each of the " You sunk my XXX" caches will also be a set of clues. Write down these clues, for it will take you to the "Victory At Sea" Final. So in all, there are 106 caches in this series!

You will be getting in and out of your car quite a bit in high Muggle zones in order to secure the majority of these caches. Don't like the setup? Don't do the series!

Thanks to the authors of the Milwaukee and Wausau, WI, Battleship series for the inspiration.

Drive safe and Happy Caching!
