The Series:
Series no longer exists. This is a stand alone cache. The series will focus on 5 of the many popular internet memes currently in the world. First off, What is a meme? An Internet meme is an idea that is propagated through the World Wide Web. The idea may take the form of a hyperlink, video, picture, website, hashtag, or just a word or phrase, such as intentionally misspelling the word "more" as "moar". The meme may spread from person to person via social networks, blogs, direct email, news sources, or other web-based services.
An Internet meme may stay the same or may evolve over time, by chance or through commentary, imitations, parody, or by incorporating news accounts about itself. Internet memes can evolve and spread extremely rapidly, sometimes reaching world-wide popularity and vanishing within a few days.
Their rapid growth and impact has caught the attention of both researchers and industry. Academically, researchers model how they evolve and predict which memes will survive and spread throughout the Web. Commercially, they are used in viral marketing where they are an inexpensive form of mass advertising.
The Meme/Cache:
The second meme in the series is a creepy one. Slender Man. Slender Man is a mythical creature often depicted as being tall and thin, wearing a black suit with a white shirt and necktie, and having a blank face. He can stretch out or shorten his arms at will, and hides some kind of tentacle-like appendages on his back. He has inspired pictures, fictional stories and videos. Slenderman is known to be spotted in forests and other wooden areas. To locate this cache you must venture into one of many locations that Slenderman has been spotted. To get the starting coordinates you must watch the following video. Please note YouTube annotations must be activated. This cache is a night cache and can only be found at NIGHT. After getting the starting coordinates for the video you must venture deep in the dark woods avoiding Slenderman and following reflectors. Please note: When this cache was beta tested LED flashlights did not work on this type of reflector, however halogen flashlights worked great. You’ve been warned. Watch the video here:

The cache itself has lots of room for items, and had a few things for trade. Cammo'd. Please be careful, take your time, watch your footing , watch for Slenderman and have fun!
The Series Final:
Inside the log book of each part of the series contains partial coordinates for the final cache! So make sure you write em down! Please note, sadly, due to some new cachers making the game harder for people the final is for PREMIUM MEMBERS ONLY. I put to much time, effort and money for it to be ruined. Sorry for those new cachers who are serious.Series no longer exists. This is a stand alone cache.
