Imagine our thrill when we read about Doris
Tracy of La Veta, CO, the small town that our son and his family
relocated to four years ago.

What a woman! Doris was a WASP during WWII.
In March of 2010, she was one of nearly 300 surviving WASPs
presented the Congressional Gold Medal for their service to our
country. These women flew non-combat missions during WWII. Women
pilots!!...way ahead of their time, and not respected as pilots
once the war was over. Doris passed away only a few months after
receiving her award.
We were scoping out this cemetery a few days ago looking for a spot
for a new cache when we spotted Doris' grave (N37 30.222 W104
59.853). Grey Squirrel said we should put the cache out in her
honor.
