Geocache Description:

Located at the archery range in Huddart County Park. We made this an easy find, to ensure the safety of everyone who attempts this cache. YOU DO NOT NEED TO GO ON THE ARCHERY COURSE OR IN THE TARGET AREA TO FIND THIS CACHE. Please be respectful and safe. NEVER WALK AN ARCHERY COURSE BACKWARDS - IT IS A ONE WAY COURSE.

While out at Huddart County Park with my lost archers, enjoying the amazing archery range that winds through the redwoods, we decided to hide a cache here. From our research, we couldn't see any that were already placed in this hidden gem of a location, making ours possibly the first plant here.

In order to ensure that no one puts themselves in any danger, we have placed Robin Hood in a very easily accessible location, where you DO NOT NEED TO TRAVEL ON THE COURSE but can access this find from the two-way road sized "Archery Fire Road" trail that cuts through the archery range. If you decide to travel the course, remember to NEVER hike the course backwards, where stray arrows may hit you.

As you walk in you will see a target area. If there are archers at play here, take a moment to watch and see what they can do. You will be impressed! There is NO NEED TO VENTURE INTO THE TARGET AREA to find this cache.

Have a bow and arrows? Bring them along for this cache. This range is open to the public, but please follow the posted rules. If you aren't an archer, just enjoy a day out in a beautiful location. King's Mountain Archery Club offers free lessons one day a month if you are interested in learning more about this fun sport.

If the gate to the range is open, please be warned that you might get locked in. Range members only have access to gate and parking lot privileges. Please park on the street.

Thanks to the lost archers for finding the spot, shooting so many bull's eyes, finding so many arrows and being such a great group of campers!

Have fun, but be respectful and BE SAFE!
