Geocache Description:

The cache offers you a spectacular view of Inanda Dam.


Inanda Dam is situated in the Valley of a Thousand Hills below Hillcrest in KwaZulu Natal. This dam offers all forms of recreational boating and is famous for it's bass fishing.There are also walking trails in the reserve. The Annual Inanda Bass Classic fishing tournament attracts hundreds of anglers each year. Inanda Dam is the perfect venue for canoeing and is a compulsory overnight stop for the famous Dusi Canoe Marathon. The race stops at the dam at the end of the second day. The paddlers look forward to a 10 km paddle on the dam to finish off a 42 km day. The back markers usually have to put up with high winds and big waves.
