Geocache Description:

This cache is located along a footpath, however it may require crossing a road and climibing over a stile, so not suitable for pushchairs.

This cache was called gunshot due to the various gunshot cartridges that were found near by. The cache is a small cylinder similar size to the gunshot cartridges and contains a log and pencil. (This is a replacement container and is smaller than the original so is not large enough for swaps etc)
In one direction the path heads towards the Ladygrove estate where we live, and is probably the best place to park. The other direction will take you to the nearby villages. There is also another cache if you carry on towards little Wittenham or you could do a circular walk via long wittenham (via the pub).
I would not advise parking on the main perimeter road and suggest that you seek out a number of parking places just off the main road or in the estate.
Please replace carefully as we have had muggles in the area and i have had to replace this container due to muggle gunslingers spoiling the fun.
