This cache is located in Crandon Park where the Crandon Zoo once was. You can get within about 100 feet of the cache on the paved pathway, the last bit is just an easy walk across the grass This cache is about two feet off the ground and no climbing is needed to reach the cache.
There is a $5 admission fee to enter Crandon Park. Park hours are 8 a.m. to sunset.
You are looking for a small, clear container with a blue lid that is large enough for some small items and the logbook. While I was seeking permission for placement of the cache, I learned that this location was home to the black bear enclosure when the area was a zoo.
Please follow all park rules while seeking this cache. Once again, no climbing is needed to get to the cache.
