Through the bushes from this cache's location you can make out a substantial stone hut with an extensive flat area in front. This is the location of Millport’s Curling Pond which sees occasional use when the weather is good/bad enough to create the freezing conditions required to support a substantial number of enthusiastic curlers of all ages on the ice!

The pond (known as Wee Minnemoer) is usually kept drained unless freezing weather is forecast. It is at Sheriff’s Common, near the island’s summit. The hut at the side of Wee Minnemoer was built as a Curling bothy by a local builder called William Wishart and was donated to the club in 1854.
