Geocache Description:


Welcome to Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site of Canada!

This cache is located on the old road towards Mason Cabin (backcountry site #37). It is recommended that you use a mountain bike to reach this location. You can use a canoe. Both methods of travel will start at Eel Weir.

it recommended that you bring tools, use a good bike, proper off road tires, a buddy and reserve at least 6 hours. Cell reception is spotty, so check-in at visitor centre


You are looking for a small green cache container containing a park message, log book, pencil & punch (for your passport). Download the passport HERE; use the punch in each of the 5 caches to punch your passport.  When you complete all 5 you have a chance to earn a limited edition trackable patch & achievement pin.

The geocache is a partnership of the Atlantic Canada Geocaching Association,  and Kejimkujik National Park. Please pay appropriate park entry fees. As per the Parks Canada geocaching policy: Trade items are not permitted in caches, this includes Travel Bugs.

This cabin was built by the renowned American naturalist for whom American President Roosevelt named an antelope range in Nevada! He travelled extensively and chose to relax in this beautiful area of Nova Scotia. Find the cache and discover more about this fascinating man.
