This was the final destination of the line. After the opening of the combined bridges over the Waitaki it was hoped the line would continue into the Valley to a town of 10,000 people but it looks like the hill defeated them. Over the hill is land alonside the road that was designated for railway use.
Please cover and leave well hidden.
