Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Fruitie Tootie Series. Each of the seven base caches in this series contains a number which you will need to solve the Grandaddy Fruitie Tootie Series Finale. Be sure to write the number down at each one.

All are intended to be very findable caches. Enjoy!!!

And now . . . a little bit about this specific cache you will be finding.

This fruit’s trees bloom throughout the year and the fruit is picked 6 or more times a year, with an average commercial tree yielding about 1,500 fruits per year.

Some believe this fruit is also useful as a means of relaxation. The tension in the hand muscles, legs or other parts of the body can be reduced by rubbing the sore part of body with this fruit’s juice plus a little water.

The ancient Greeks knew this fruit and wrote about it. The Romans believed this fruit was an antidote for all poisons and depicted it on murals in the 4th century AD.

This fruit has a pH of 2–3. This makes its juice an inexpensive, readily available acid for use in educational science experiments.

Many flavored drinks and candies are made from this fruit.

Note: If you happen to bike to the cache, a trail fee is required. (There's never a fee for pedestrians, though.)

The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to the Wisconsin DNR.
