WHEN:

11:00am
WHERE:
The summit of Rock Dunder
Welcome
to my first hosted event. I hope to host one of these journey
events once each season. Early on in my geocaching experience I
realized that many times it was the getting there that made the
cache so enjoyable. This event is dedicated to the experience of
getting there.
So
come to Rock Dunder for a hike and a friendly gathering of
geocachers at one of the most scenic spots KAG has to offer. Bring
a camera and/or binoculars because the view is worth a million
dollars. The event will be at 11:00a.m. at the posted coordinates.
*Please bring your own picnic lunch.*
Rock
Dunder is located off of Hwy 15, at Stanley Lash Lane. It’s
been said that if you think it looks like a private driveway, you
are in the right spot. The hike from the parking lot to the summit
is about 1.5km. The trail starts flat and fairly easy but gets more
rugged as you get closer to the summit. Kids should not have a
problem with the hike although you should keep a close eye on
younger children at some spots along the trail and of course, at
the summit.
So
come out and see some old friends, make some new ones, share some
stories, maybe pick up a hint or two, trade some trackables, and
most importantly, enjoy the journey.
For
more information on the event and discussion, please see the thread
on the KAG forum HERE.
**Note:
This is a Geo-Dog friendly event!**
