Geocache Description:

Cache is located on the edge of an abandoned subdivision lot. There is parking close by, and most of it is easy terrain, but there is a short hill right before the cache.

You are looking for a large canister marked by a green geocaching.com sticker. I started it out with wet naps, bandaids, a few coupons that may have been relevant to Atalanta if she were around today, sunglasses, loose change and other trinkets.

The name Atalanta comes from a Greek word meaning "Balanced." Which is an excellent way to describe this heroine; She was brave, athletic and uncommonly beautiful. Having been abandoned by her father to die, (he had wanted a son), she was said to have been rescued by a bear and then raised by hunters. She is most well known for routinely winning against men in all types of athletic endeavors. This is usually followed by them falling in love with her and somehow soon after meeting their demise. Although she was not originally interested in marriage, she agreed to wed the first who could beat her in a footrace. A young man, Melanion, enlisted Aphrodite's help and was able to win.
