Geocache Description:

Game Day
Let the Games Begin!

Who: Everyone!
What: Just playing fun games in the park!
When: Saturday, September 17th, 12:00 - 2:00
Where: Twin Rivers Park in Arlington
How: By car, bike or walk

Activities:
  • Play anywhere Wherigos! Please bring your GPS or especially smart phones with my Wherigos preloaded so we can complete them in groups for those who don't have a way to Wherigo, or for those who are having problems with my Wherigos on their Oregon.
  • Frisbee
  • Frisbee Golf
  • Bocci Ball
  • Fox Tail
  • Bean Bag Toss
  • Giant Slingshots
  • Geocaching Bingo
  • Golf Chip Challenge
Play Anywhere Wherigos:
I've been trying to plan this for a month or two now, and just never got around to publishing it. Instead of a drawing like many events have, we're going to follow my game series and give prizes for game winners! I have a few TBs to give away, some vinyl logos to put on your car or wherever, and maybe a simple cache container or two. If anyone wants to bring other items for prizes, please feel free. Anyone wanting to help with or run one of the games, just let me know.

There are posts at the park to play frisbee golf, wide open spaces to play the "play anywhere" Wherigos, plenty of space just to sit back in the sun (we hope) and enjoy watching the kids (including us big kids) if you don't want to participate, or even find the nearby caches hidden in this park.

I don't have all the games, or resources to facilitate games for everyone, so please help me out and bring things of your own as well so we can all be playing and having fun together.

What To Bring: (optional)
  • The golf ball on a string game that you throw onto the colored bars (don't know what it's called)
  • Frisbees
  • Soccer balls
  • Water balloons, tennis balls, etc. for the giant slingshots
  • GPS or smartphone with preloaded "play anywhere" Wherigos
  • Bean bags
  • Picnic if you so desire
  • Anything else that would be fun to play outside
  • FOOD DRIVE ITEMS! I will be helping before, and possibly after the event, with a food drive, and it would be great to incorporate that during the event as well if you have any food drive items you would like to contribute.
