Who would have ever thought....Rut Makers #1 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

OReviewer: As there's been no cache to find for a long time or has had no owner response for at least 30 days, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

The Tract making up what is now known as the Cedar Ridge
Trail and West Essex Park complex was purchased from the Leni Lenape indians in 1699. The colonists found the land poorly suited for farming due to its propensity for flooding, but the resident oak forest and subsequent cedar forest, proved ideal for logging. In addition, the pasture land created was used for grazing cattle. The logging continued up until the tract was acquired by the Essex County Park Commission approximately 60 years ago.

This cache is an opportunity to visit a place that has a hard to describe, "Strange" feel to it. See if it affects you similarly.

The area is likely to be muddy or wet in areas, depending on the time of year and recent rains.

The cache itself, is hidden close to parking and the trail.

The cache is a Bison Tube. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN PEN or PENCIL.
