Geocache Description:

A small pill bottle placed above the high water mark along the Bannock Burn. Parking available next to the cache site.

The historic Bannock Burn rises in the Touch Hills to the west of the cache site and flows eastward to enter the River Forth to the east of Stirling.

Along this particular stretch of the burn may be found three duns (Castlehill, Wester Craigend, and Wallstale) and a Hill Fort (Gillies Hill) which guard the upper Bannockburn Valley; as well as two early 19th century lime works (Murrayshall and Craigend).

From this cache site you can walk up the south side of the burn to The Lea Rig GC1JT2R.
