Geocache Description:

A handcrafted nano cache is hidden at Arioka Castle Remains.

The Arioka castle was originally constructed by Itami family who ruled the area and taken over by Araki Murashige in 1574. The castle is most famous for a battle in 1578 July through 1579 October between Araki Murashige and Oda Nobunaga --- where Araki rebelled against Oda who ruled the region. Araki defended in this castle but failed when finally conquered by Oda. Here is the old map showing their teritories: (visit link)

Today, much of the castle remains was lost because the JR railroad split them apart. That is why the site is so close to the JR Itami station.
