This is on the south side of the Garlock Road, also known as the Redrock Randsburg Road. Please make sure you pull over safely to the side of the road. The container is about the size of a medium peanut butter jar. There is a log and SWAG. BYOP.
Eric was on his way out to my house in Ridgecrest with his red 4x4 truck so that we could go geocaching up in the hills behind Cerro Coso College the next day. Unfortunately, his truck broke down right here. Fortunately, he has AT & T cell service (no Verizon service along this road) and was able to call me AND a tow truck. Unfortunately, his cellphone battery was low. Fortunately, he found his charger and was able to charge his phone. Unfortunately, he wasn't going to be able to make it out to visit and geocache. Fortunately, we decided to go hang out with him and wait for the tow truck. Unfortunately, he hadn't had dinner. Fortunately, we brought him ice cream.
Nothing else bad happened. A CHP officer was there checking on him when we arrived. He left us to our ice cream visit by the light of the full moon and flashlights. The tow truck took the red truck to Tehachapi and Eric decided to come home with us anyways. We will be geocaching on the way to Tehachapi tomorrow (and might even do a bug drop here).
Since we had all the "fixins" for a cache, we decided to place one here in honor of our unexpected adventure.
