Die Via Baltica ist der nördlichste Weg der Ost-West-Verbindungen in Deutschland. Der Weg beginnt auf der Insel Usedom an der Grenze von Polen und Deutschland, stellt damit also auch die Brücke von den baltischen Ländern nach Santiago de Compostela in Spanien dar.

Die Via Baltica verläuft von Usedom kommend weiter über Greifswald, Rostock und Wismar durch Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, dann in Schleswig-Holstein nach Lübeck und durch Hamburg, Bremen und Niedersachsen mit dem Ziel Osnabrück. Insgesamt sind es ca. 770 km.

Im Sommer kann es hier recht muggelig sein.

Du befindest dich hier im Naturschutzgebiet "Untere Wümme".
Daher der Hinweis: Der Weg braucht zu keiner Zeit verlassen zu werden.

Hier kreuzen sich der Jakobsweg "Via Baltica" (geradeaus) und der Jan-Reiners-Weg (quer).

The Via Baltica is the northernmost pilgrim's way of the east-west connections in Germany. The trail begins on the island of Usedom on the border between Poland and Germany, therefore it is also the bridge from the Baltic countries to Santiago de Compostela in Spain.

The Via Baltica runs from Usedom over Greifswald, Rostock and Wismar through Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, in Schleswig-Holstein to Lübeck and Hamburg, Bremen and Lower Saxony, with the final destinaton Osnabrück. Altogether, the pilgrim travels about 770 km.

In summer, this place is quite busy.

You are here in the nature reserve "Lower Wümme". Therefore, the Note: The path needn't to be left at any time.

This is the intersection of the pilgrimage route "Via Baltica" (straight ahead) and the Jan-Reiners-way (across).
