Geocache Description:

From the parking area make your descent, keeping to the left to follow the one true trail. Following the wrong path may lead you into an unnecessary bushwhack through stinging nettles. The fallen Dougfir isn't blocking the way - it IS the way. The trail will lead you in toward a lesser known swimming hole within view of Merwin Dam, a 313-foot-high,1250-foot span of concrete built in 1931 to harness the hydroelectric power of the Lewis River... swimming isn't actually required, but is definitely recommended...

The cache is a lock&lock style container with a pressure valve to help keep it airtight. (When opening, first pop open the pressure valve. When closing it up, just give it a squeeze.) You'll find it just a few feet from the trail, not far from where it ends along the waterline. Please rehide well, and try not to disturb the locals in their native habitat. They're friendly enough, but they've an aversion to outsiders and their hearts are full of suspicion. (Just kidding - enjoy the hunt, and remember to always practice and promote good geo-karma.)

(Congratulations SCUBASONIC, with the FTF and the nettle-stung calves to prove it!)
