An easy,level walk from the village of Dale. Suitable for all.
Please only park in appropriate places,ideally in the main car park. The charges for 2011 are 60p per hour or £2 per day. There are also several free disabled parking spaces along the seafront for blue bage holders.
This is a very small cache -please bring a pen.
Dale is a wonderful place for walkers and watersports enthusiasts alike. The large, shallow, sheltered bay is an excellent place for beginners to learn to windsurf or canoe. There is a slipway for the launching of small boats and dinghies, moorings for visiting yachts and a wreck out in the bay for divers to explore. Ashore there is a cafe, pub and restaurant and plenty of benches to sit and watch the antics of all the people on, or in, the water. The large car park in Dale also makes it an ideal place to begin walks around the beautiful St Anne's headland or, for those who just want an easy stroll, there is a lane which circles across to the other side of the isthmus, towards the lovely West Dale beach.
This geocache is placed along that lane, opposite the charming church of St James the Great.
The lane forms a one way system for people visiting Dale by car, so there may well be muggles driving by - please be discreet.
Although we have used a touch of cunning to hide the cache it is easy to find and does not involve any digging around in ivy or undergrowth.
Please note: The ivy has now been removed leaving the cache site more exposed. Please be careful when replacing the cache to keep it hidden.
