Cachen er plassert ved et gammelt turbinhus som leverte strøm til Kinn fram til 60-tallet. Ifølge en hytteeier i nærheten ble det generert 18kW her, i første omgang som likstrøm, som senere ble oppgradert til vekselstrøm. Når folk så at vannet sprøyt til himmels visste de at noe måtte repareres.
Bak bygningen går det et rør laget av tre med metalringer rund langt opp i fjellet, til et sted der vannet ble samlet opp i elven. Det er ikke mye igjen av demningen.
I 60-tallet ble det bygget en strømlinje slik at turbinhuset mistet sin funksjon.

The cache is located at a small old turbinehouse that generated electricity for Kinn. According to a cabineowner the tubine generated 18kW, at first direct current (DC), later on alternating current (AC). When people saw the water spraying high up, they knew something had to be repaired.
Behind the building there is a pipe made of wood with metal rings around it that goes a long way up in the terrain, to a place where the water of the river was collected. The dam has mostly gone now.
In the sixties an electricity line was build and the turbinehouse missed its function.
