Since our last name is Denmark, we thought we would start a series of caches located at places that reminded us of other countries in Europe with this being the first.
We chose this location as a couple things remind us of France here. First of all, if you drive just south of this cache about 3/4 of a mile, you will go down a long straightaway with a home on the west side that reminds us of homes you would see in the French countryside such as Tuscany. Haven't seen any others like it in Spokane. The other item is that everyday, no matter what time of day, there are always many cyclists traveling on this road. Sometimes it feels like we've run into a Tour de France peloton with large groups of riders at one time. It is a favored route as one can take a big loop around without having to stop, many curves and hills, and the scenery is fantastic in the Hangman Valley.
Cache is a small waterproof container. Quick pull up and grab. No need to go through the gate. Watch out for thorns. The BITE is worse than the BARK! FTF gets .6925 Euros converted to US currency and gets to move along a French Canadian Geocoin. Viva La France!!
