Coronary heart disease is the number one killer of people in the US. We should be aware of the common warning signs of a heart attack, such as chest pains that last for more than a couple of minutes, other upper body pains, shortness of breath, sweat, nausea, lightheadedness, and how to respond.
On the other hand, cardiophobia is pyschosomatic. Its sufferers will overreact to every muscular twinge, misinterpret every gastrointestinal burp, constantly monitor their heart beat and blood pressure and waste much time unnecessarily at the clinic. In the long run their attentiveness to their heart may actually do them more harm then good.
As a geocacher, you will want to take advantage of the steeper trails that really get your heart pumping.
This cache is 500-some feet up the mountain bike trail from the foot at podophobia. There will be a fence on your left and a creek bed on your right as you're traversing the trail one-way in the clockwise direction as recommended. If you reach an interpretive (see waypoint) sign on the right side of the trail you've gone too far. Go back about ten paces. Just off the trail, on the creek side, under some rotten logs is where you'll find the heart of the matter.
Be sure to continue up the trail to the Cardiophobia 2 cache.
