When I hid this cache, a number of birds were at the nearby reservoir: Common Pochard, Cinnamon Teal, a Mallard pair, a kind of Sandpiper or Avocet, and a Killdeer.
From the parking lot at Brushy Peak Regional Preserve, take the Brushy Peak Loop Trail. About 100 feet off the main trail, this container is about the size of a small peanut butter jar. Yes, it is where you fear it to be! Happy hunting! And the usual warning about rattle snakes and fierce thistles. Highly recommend sturdy shoes and jeans.
