Geocache Description:

A letterbox hybrid near the Cannon Valley trail. The coordinates will take you to the cache. To find it from the trail please read the directions below.

Ranidaphobia, the irrational fear of frogs goes way back to once upon a time. From the the fairy tale, "The Frog Prince (or Princess)" popularized by the Brothers Grimm, one develops a fear of turning into a frog or of having to kiss a frog. Or maybe it's the fear of the deceitful frog in "The Battle of the Frog and the Mice". Or maybe even croaking like a frog.

However, these fears can be countered by reading about the hesitant "Leap-Frog" by Hans Christian Anderson, the gregarious frogs in the Native-American tale "Why Frogs Croak" and "The Tale of Mr. Jeremy Fisher" by Beatrix Potter. Or the Genie frog in "The Fairy Frog". Or Mark Twain's "The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County". Or Jim Henson's Kermit.

Directions: Close to the posted coordinates you should spot two posts (see waypoint) that resemble upright railroad ties on the river side of the trail. From there proceed about 50 feet east (back up the trail 13 paces and another 13 paces perpendicular to the trail away from the river.) This is across the ditch which may be filled with water. There, behind a large rock, green with moss your prince should be awaiting you.
