This is my first cache.
I wanted it to be better prepared, but I came from Lisbon to Braga (360km +/-) with my father on a business trip that he had, and I wasn't expecting to find such a wonderful place to hide a cache... So the box is a marmalade box (of the brand "Ferbar" - it's like a tupperware but not so resistant) that I managed to get in a nearby restaurant, and the logbook is made from some sheets of paper that I ripped in small pieces and put together with a clip. I had a box almost ready in my car, but I came in my father's...
The box contains a small blue lighter, an €uro calculator, and a € 0.50 coin... this is all I had to put in the cache! Sorry!
But the place is so nice, that you'll forget about how basic the box itself is!
How to get there? From Braga, drive to "Bom Jesus" (Portuguese for Good Jesus). When you get there, you'll see how beautiful it is: I don't need to describe. But the cache is not in Bom Jesus. It's near, and I guess that starting the hunt from Bom Jesus is the best you can do.
With the GPS you'll now have to navigate to the place. From the asphalt road, 250m from the cache is probably the closest that you'll be (this is estimated by me, I didn't see this on the GPS!).
You'll have to pay € 2.50 (once it was 0.75..) to get inside the place where the cache is. This wasn't intentional but the place is sooo worth the visit!! Just try (please) to get inside the place by the side where you pay. There is no need for climbing by the other side. And it's also not supposed.
My Magellan GPS indicated an Estimated Position Error of 10m.
Take a camera - the place is worth some pictures.
If you can't find the cache, use the hints! Good hunt!
P.S: Don't let anybody (except for people that are with you, only, of course!!) know that the Cache is there - don't ask me why, try to guess... -------- Update 03/10/2005: as people fortunately have found the cache I have turned it into a regular cache again. Also the price has once been 0.75 but I now updated it to 3.00 according to reports. I haven't been to Braga since, but am happy to know the cache is doing well :)
