Mowbray Park, once a Dr. Barnardo's Farm Training School is an 18th Century rural mansion near Picton in New South Wales, was a home for child migrants from the 1930s to the 1950s. One of the ex-Barnardo "Boys", Alick Robertson, tells his story of his time at Mowbray Park in the early 1950s. Mowbray Park, is now a holiday farm. Fifty years ago, however, Mowbray Park was known as Dr. Barnardo's Farm Training School, a home for child migrants, mainly from England. One of those children was Alick Robertson, who still lives in the area.
