The 'Irish Strawberry Tree' (Arbutus unedo) is a nice green, fruiting tree that used to be quite common in old gardens.
There is a nice row of these trees adjacent to the tennis courts at Reid. They were planted around 1927 - about the time that the suburb was built. They are on the ACT Tree register.
The fruit is edible (orange/red when ripe), but a bit bland so it's usually left for the birds.
I found it hard to get a consistent GPS location because of the trees - let me know if the coordinates need adjustment.
Parking might be a bit difficult during business hours.
