Emmanuel United Reformed Church, St Michael's Road, Heene, Worthing, West Sussex, England. Separate from church hall which faces on to Heene Road. The hall was built in 1926 as the church and used as such until the new church was opened in 1937. Originally St Columba's Presbyterian Church, becoming St Columba's United Reformed Church in 1972. United with Shelley Road United Reformed Church (formerly Congregational Church until the Presbyterian Church of England and the Congregational Church in England and Wales united in 1972) to form Emmanuel Church in 2005. The buildings were refurbished in 2010 and linked together by a new building containing a meeting room, WC facilities and welcome lounge. The new building echoes some elements of Le Corbusier's Chapelle Notre Dame du Haut at Ronchamp, France. The enhanced facilities were designed for church events,uniformed youth groups, the local community and other users.
