Geocache Description:

Park at the entrance of the cemetery. There is only room for one car. Be careful because 19th Street is very busy. The gate is unlocked if you want to go in a look around. You may be able to reach the cache from the fence line, but maybe not.

Caches contains a log and a few small trade items.

The Carlisle Cemetery is a bit of a spooky place, but then all old cemeteries are. There is a historical marker near the entrance to the cemetery which gives some brief information. Augustus Carlisle donated a part of his land as a local cemetery in 1918. The locals called him "Uncle Gus". The cemetery served the small town of Carlisle which was named for the same man. If anyone has any information about the old town of Carlisle I would love to include it on this page.
