During winter time the cache is probably under the snow. If you like, go anyway to the location. We will allow log permission.
Il Passo dei Contrabbandieri (2681 m) si trova in alta valle Camonica, tra il Passo del Tonale e la valle di Viso. Abbiamo raggiunto il passo dal Tonale dalla Val di Sole con un pullman di linea quindi proseguito per il Passo dei Contrabbandieri e il rifugio Bozzi (2478 m). Attraverso il Forcellino di Montozzo abbiamo proseguito fino al laghetto di Pian Palù, in val di Pejo. Raggiunto quindi il Fontanino siamo arrivati a Pejo Fonti. Da qui, secondo pullman per tornare a casa, in Val di Sole. Totale a piedi, 22 km e circa 900 m di ascesa: bellissima gita con panorami mozzafiato!
The Passo dei Contrabbandieri (Smugglers' pass) (2681 m) is located in the upper Camonica valley , between Passo Tonale and the Viso valley. We reached Passo del Tonale from Val di Sole by bus then reached the Passo dei Contrabbanieri and the Bozzi refuge (2478 m). Through the dropout of Montozzo we continued up the lake of Pian Palu, in Val di Pejo. We reached Fontanino and then we arrived in Pejo Fonti. From here, by a second bus we went home, in Val di Sole. Total walking distance, 22 km and 900 m of ascent: a beautiful ride with breathtaking views!
