Geocache Description:

Join The Outdoor Classroom and the Pittsburgh Area Geocaching Association (PAGA) for a spine tingling introduction to geocaching from 3-6pm! Come in your favorite Halloween costume for a free treat!

The evening will begin with an introduction to geocaching, what is a cache and how to get started or advance to new challenges.

After which we will pair up groups of experienced and beginning geocachers to find some temporary caches as well as the permanent placements in the Boyce Mayview Park.

Return to the Classroom Learning Lab where refreshments will be available for purchase and we can relax by the campfire and share caching stories. Come dressed in your costume for a free campfire treat. Raffle prizes will be awarded; donations are welcome.

NEW ADDITION! Join PAGA member Geo Walker from 2-3pm before our main event for a “guided tour” if you will, of two of his recently placed Earthcaches, GC23N38 and GC34N3V located within the Allegheny Land Trust property of Wingfield Pines across the street from the Autum Adventure program. This will present an opportunity to overcome any fears or suspicions you may have and expose you to the concept of Earthcaches.
