Geocache Description:

You're looking for a black micro cache, so please bring a pen or pencil to write with. (A tip: to put the logsheet back into the cache, place it into the lid/top part first and then screw.)

There is a public footpath which runs up from Ludlow Road, through some woodland and then across a field, where the cache is, then back downhill through another little woodland, to the back of Little Stretton, a pretty village on the Ludlow Road. A circular walk is possible, with a pavement along Ludlow Road (which isn't busy anyway) and two pubs, a thatched church and a general store in Little Stretton.

Park somewhere in Little Stretton and then chose in which direction you want to do the circular! The circular walk is about 1.6 miles / 2.5 km depending on which route you take through Little Stretton.

A regular bus service (Monday-Saturday) calls at Little Stretton - the 435 Shrewsbury-Ludlow service run by Minsterley Motors.

The top field the public footpath runs through gives excellent views in all directions of the Stretton hills. A rocky outcrop just uphill of the cache location is a good spot to stand on. Can you see the Long Mynd Hotel?
