Geocache Description:

NANO-CACHE. Located in a public park set between a large office complex and the Potomac river, this cache is easily accessible via paved paths.

This cache rests near an intriguing public park designed by landscape architect M. Paul Friedberg that contains a number of neoclassical sculptures made by Anne and Charles Poirier. Called the Promenade Classique, it overlooks the Potomac River, and contains a 14 ton marble obelisk that mimics the Washington Monument, an 18 foot bronze arrow shaft among marble "ruins" and a multi-level cascading fountain.

You're also just around the corner from the Alexandria Canal Tide Lock which served a seven-mile canal in the 19th Century that linked Alexandria with the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal in the District of Columbia.
